75th Season Homecoming Party – December 1

Help us kick off our 75th Season at Cannon!

-9am-2pm: Cannon/Tram History segments playing in the Family Room, lower level of Peabody Lodge

-All day: Get your early Holiday shopping done Saturday and do it early…First 25 people to spend over $75 in the Cannon Sports Shop receive a 75th Season Commemorative Gift!

-1-3pm “History of Cannon” Author Meghan McCarthy McPhaul at Cannon for a book signing. Peabody Lodge

-Show off your Cannon logo gear you’ve collected from over the decades and we’ll give a 75 themed prize to the most impressive getup at the end of the day. Be in the Cannonball Pub for judging at 3:30pm

-3-6pm: The Pat Foley Band and The Woodstock Station & Brewery do it up in the Cannonball Pub!

-4pm: Kids’ Movie “The Lorax” in Brookside

-4pm: Meathead Films Premier of “No Matter What”in the lower level Peabody Lodge. Snag goods from the Meatheads & Ski the East, free raffle drawing with loads of prizes, meet some of the skiers themselves and watch some sweet footage from last season! All ages, no entry fee.

-6pm: Fireworks!
Meathead Films Premier – December 1

See this year’s East Coast Ski Thriller “No Matter What” at 4pm in the lower level of the Peabody Lodge. Meet the skiers, load up on swag and catch sweet footage from last season! All ages, no entry fee.

Ski for Hunger Food Drive – December 8

Food collected benefits the Good Neighbor Food Pantry in Franconia, NH! Bring 4 non-perishable food items to Guest Services in the Notchview Lodge and receive discounted skiing/riding that day! More details soon!

NH Resident Season Pass Deadline – December 14

NH Residents receive 25% off normal season pass prices when purchased before December 14th. Valid NH ID required. Don’t miss out…buy yours now!

Toys for Tots Drive – December 15

A program from the US Marine Corps Reserve, we’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys for children in need this Holiday season. Bring a toy to Guest Services in the Notchview Lodge and receive discounted skiing/riding! Details soon!

STEPT Film Premier supporting Copper Cannon Camp – December 27

Late Apres reception followed by a film premier of STEPT film’s newest movie “The Eighty Six”. This event supports Copper Cannon Camp who’s goal is to help under-served youth in New Hampshire by providing a tuition-free summer camp experience. More details soon…

Family Fun Night w/ Fireworks & Torchlight – December 29

From 4:30-6:30pm in the Peabody Base Area. Movies for Kids in the Brookside Lodge, Huckerbrook Mini-Park open under the lights for $5 and the Cannonball Pub open for adults. Stick around for the Torchlight Parade & Fireworks at 6:30!

Mix 104.1 will give their Mix Freeloaders the opportunity to “play hookey” with the station and ski/ride Cannon for the day. They’ll host an Apres Party in the Pub from 3-5pm with music, trivia & prizes!

This is a fundraiser for the Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country – a fun and adventurous day includes: treasure maps, costumes, contests, raffles and a day of skiing & riding for a great price and a great cause! The Bill Cunningham Memorial Race – March 2

A day of fun for all ages in memory of long time Cannon skier Bill Cunningham, supporting Amyloid Research at Boston Medical Center.

This is open to the public, so come help support a great cause! Register that morning upstairs in the Notchview Lodge (discounts on lift tickets available to all participants), Fun race kicks off on Time Zone at 11am, and raffle at 3pm!

Mix 104.1 Wellness on Wheels Tour – March 2

Mix 104.1’s Wellness on Wheels tour visits New England’s best events and destinations to help consumers make healthy decisions all season long. On March 2nd the Tour visits Cannon with free giveaways from 1pm to 3pm and enjoy great Mix Music, healthy snacks, great tips and fun giveaways.

Crash Test Dummy Race – March 9

Register your Crash Test Dummy in the morning at Guest Services – there is no entry fee for this event! Judging at the bottom of the course (in Peabody Base Area) at 12:30pm, Crash Test Dummy Race starts at 1pm. The fastest dummy at the end of the double elimination races will be deemed the 2013 Champion! We will also have a “best in show” award.

Crash Test Dummy Official Rules & Regulations:
-Dummy must have a face (not necessarily a pretty one)
-Dummy must have 2 skis (no snowboards, outriggers are allowed)
-Dummy must be built on a 2’square or 2′ diameter platform which is securely mounted to the skis
-Dummy must be inanimate (this means no “live” bodies) Race organizers reserve the right to take a pulse
-Dummy must be pushed or pulled to the “start line”. No lift service for Dummies
-Dummy should be durable (think NFL or Roller Derby!)
-No extra weights may be added – don’t make us force your Dummy to a crash diet.

Up to 50 people compete to see who can make it across the pond for their chance to win prizes from Blizzard Skis, Cannon Mountain & Chutters Candy Shop! All participants entered into raffle. Register 8-11:30 at Guest Services, Costume judging at 12:30, Event @ 1pm!

BodeFest 2013 – April 6

World-class skier & Olympic Champion Bode Miller will come to Cannon for the day to host BodeFest – a day of fun for all ages to support The Turtle Ridge Foundation!
