SIGNATURE

ELVIS DAY Jan 8

Other resorts may have their Picabo’s & Mosley’s, but Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe has an event that brings out the biggest star of all (and many of his carbon copies). ELVIS DAY, our tribute to the birth of the “King” is second to none as Mt. Rose virtually becomes a sea of Elvi. Chances are Elvis will issue your lift ticket, fit your skis and even teach your lesson. Staff in the true spirit of the day don there favorite Elvis wear – especially his signature sideburns, chrome shades and the unmistakable “Thank you very much.” Elvis appears on the Saturday closest to the King’s official birthday

Slide Back Feb 12

If you still think that “New school” equates to stretch pants that leave nothing to the imagination, rear-entry boots and old skinny skis, then mark your calendar for Mt. Rose’s 3rd Annual Slide Back 80s Retro Ski Party. Break all of the ski fashion laws – on this one-day only- at the always-chic Slide Lodge at the bottom of East Bowl.

Dummy Downhill Mar 5

Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe opens the gate to high flying, speed demons of every shape and size on Saturday March 5th, but with a catch…no entries may have a pulse. This is no joke! Witness the 6th annual Dummy Downhill at Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe where creations of all sizes, shapes, and most of all pure lunacy compete for the best possible runs down Show-off run directly in front of the Mt. Rose main lodge. Public entries recieve 4 FREE lift tickets with entry! Registration is from 8:30 – 10:30 at the main lodge. Don’t miss the fun!

Bud Light Ladies Day Mar 26

Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe is not too proud to announce the 9th annual Bud Light Ladies Day high on the slopes of Tahoe’s Highest Base resort. Yes Boys will be Girls on this day of bad taste composed of tactless dresses worn by furry legged men sporting the cheapest hairdos money can’t buy. Bottom line: men dressed like women get Ladies Day Priced Lift Tickets ($10 – back to the early days) and the chance to win big money and stardom in the “drag race” and the “beauty or the beast” pageant. Sizeable cash prizes add to the excitement and enthusiasm as Reno/Tahoe’s finest compete for the crown.
